ABOUT
Refinement, rhythm, and affection.
Trova is inspired by the encounter between artisanal tradition and modern design. Our references are like the brazilian type of poetry of the same name as the studio: full of rhythm, history, and structure. Models such as Japanese joinery and Brazilian brutalist architecture help build a language that values constructive rigor and the honesty of materials. The brand draws from sculptural and functional architecture, such as that of Acácio Gil Borsoi or Lina Bo Bardi, but transforms all of this on a human scale. There is also a strong connection with concrete poetry, both in the name and in the pursuit of materializing stories.
The pieces are created for spaces that value time and affection: homes where life is lived slowly, noisy studios, or cafes that host long conversations. They are pieces of furniture that don't want to steal the show, but to be part of life with lightness and intention. They are objects that not only serve a purpose, but help tell stories. The idea is that each piece is like those songs that are part of your daily life and accompany important moments.
Luiz Lopes, an architect, designer, and carpenter trained in Teresina, São Paulo, and Milan, founded his studio in 2022 with the creation of the Concha lamp, celebrating the Best Lamp award at the Novos Talentos Brasileiros (New Brazilian Talents) exhibition.
